Alco-Sensor FST Law Enforcement
Ergonomic Design, One-handed Operation
The Alco-Sensor FST law enforcement device fits comfortably into the operators right or left hand. A single press of the front button starts a test sequence. A second button at the back of the grip accesses additional menu options and features. One-handed operation is particularly valuable for law enforcement, allowing officers to keep one hand free to control unpredictable subjects.
Extra-fast Screening Without Changing Mouthpieces
The passive test feature enables an operator to screen many people very quickly for the presence of alcohol. In passive test mode the Alco-Sensor FST can perform a test every 10 seconds. Because subjects blow at the sampling cup, but do not touch their mouth to it, there is no need to change the sampling cup for every test. This saves time and saves the cost of individual mouthpieces.
U.S. Dept. of Transportation has approved the Alco-Sensor FST as an evidential breath testing device. Almost every state has approved the Alco-Sensor FST for use by law enforcement agencies as a PBT (Preliminary Breath Tester). Alco-Sensor FST accuracy exceeds +/- .005 at .100 BrAC.
Fool-proof Results with Automatic Breath Sampling
The Alco-Sensor FST monitors a subjects breath and performs a test only when the subject delivers a continuous deep breath sample. Automatic breath sampling ensures precise, accurate results. The operator can manually override the automatic breath sample feature to test subject’s with shy lung or who are uncooperative.
