Description
Alco-Breath Tube .15 Disposable Breath Alcohol Test
Gives Semi-Quantitative Results
The Alco-Breath Tube .15 is one of the only disposable breath test devices that estimates alcohol concentrations to .15 BrAC. Alcohol in the breath causes yellow crystals to change to a green color. Higher concentrations of alcohol cause the green color to move higher up the tube. The user reads the result at the highest level of color change, much like reading a thermometer.
Accurate to +/- 0.02 BrAC
The operator uses the % BrAC scale on the device to interpret breath test results. An independent study comparing the Alco-Breath Tube to an evidential breath test device showed the Alco-Breath Tube to be accurate to +/- 0.02 BrAC.
Balloon Ensures Proper Breath Sample
Breath alcohol tests require a subject to deliver an adequate amount of deep lung breath to get an accurate estimate of intoxication level. The Alco-Breath Tube uses a balloon to capture the subjects breath to ensure that each subject delivers the same amount of deep lung breath.
Instructions for Use
STEP 1 – The user first pours out the blue preservative crystals
STEP 2 – The subject then inflates the balloon attached to a special mouthpiece.
STEP 3 – The user attaches the balloon to the test and allows air to flow through the test for one minute.
