We decided to use this month’s newsletter to celebrate AlcoPro’s 30th year in business. Just like a kid rounds up his age to sound a little older than he is, we’ve been saying “almost 30 years in business” for a year or two. August 2012 made it official: exactly 30 years since AlcoPro first started doing business in August 1982.
Why does that matter to you, our customers? We are not so caught up in ourselves that we think our customers care about the number of years we’ve been in business. But we do think our practice of “continuous improvement,” applied over 30 years, gives our customers some significant benefits.
We are experts. We have picked up a lot of knowledge about drug and alcohol testing in 30 years to share with our customers and prospective customers. Whether it is helping a customer choose the best alcohol test device for their specific application, helping a customer interpret the result of a drug or alcohol test, or answering a question about DOT regulations, we usually have the knowledge to answer our customers’ questions.
We deliver great customer service. We have spent over a hundred hours on customer service training for our employees over the years. We continue to hone our customer service skills year by year in staff meetings. That means our customers hear a friendly, courteous voice when they call, and when a customer calls with a problem, we can usually resolve it in a way that is acceptable to our customer.
We’ll be here tomorrow. Although nothing is certain in business, we plan to be here tomorrow and for a long time after. We always try to take the long view. That means offering reliable, professional quality products, and supporting our products with training and service. Making sure that our customers are satisfied today will make it more likely they will be our customers next year and the years after.
