The innovative design of the Split Specimen Key Cup gives the operator complete control over the drug testing process. With other integrated cup test kits, the test card starts to react as soon as the donor fills the cup with the urine specimen. The unique design of the Split Specimen Key Cup prevents the urine specimen from touching the test card until the operator inserts a special key to activate the test. Inserting and pressing the key moves an internal plunger that allows a small amount of specimen to contact the test card. The one-way movement of the plunger also segregates the balance of the specimen from the test card, an important consideration when sending the specimen to a laboratory for confirmation testing.
The integrated cup design offers the most convenient way to perform a drug test. The donor provides a specimen in the cup and secures the lid, eliminating operator contact with the specimen. The operator simply inserts and presses the key and observes the test results. Lines appear at each drug indicator to indicate negative tests. The absence of a line at a drug indicator indicates the presence of that drug. |
