The Alco-Sensor IV with Memory offers the very latest technology in portable, evidential quality alcohol testing. Based upon the innovative Alco-Sensor IV, the Alco-Sensor IV with Memory adds the capability to print test results after each test, or to store test results for later printing.
The Alco-Sensor IV with Memory (identified with a black dot on the front of the instrument) accomplishes this by using a powerful computer chip. The increased computer power enables the Alco-Sensor IV with Memory to:
-Maintain and display date and time.
-Assign a sequential test number to every test.
-Store more than 70 tests in memory
-Store the most recent calibration in memory.
-Perform all the functions of a regular Alco-Sensor IV.
-Print its memory of test results to a serial printer and to a computer.
The Alco-Sensor IV with Memory must be used with a printer to utilize the memory storage features of the instrument. Tests stored in memory can only be retrieved with a printer or computer; they are not accessible through the display on the instrument.
The Alco-Sensor IV with Memory comes with either a generic protocol, or a DOT protocol. The DOT protocol includes prompts specific to the Department of Transportation protocol, including counting down the 15 minute waiting period after a screening test of .020 or greater. The generic protocol stamps each test with a test number, date, and time, and provides space on the printout for a operator's signature. |
