Professional Collector training prepares Collectors to conduct urine specimen collections in accordance with the U.S. Department of Transportation's Alcohol Testing Procedures Rule: 49 CFR Part 40.
Urine Specimen Collector Training is a one-day class. No prerequisites are required.

Urine Specimen Collector Course Description
This one-day course covers the DOT urine collection procedures and the use of the DOT Custody and Control Form (CCF). Students perform five mock collections that meet the training requirements of the DOT regulations. Topics include:
- Overview of Drug Testing
- DOT drug testing regulations
- Chain of Custody Forms
- Split Specimen Collection
- Temperature Out of Range
- Adulterated Specimens
- Observed Collections
- Shy Bladder Collection
Our professional instructor provides complete “face-to-face” performance-oriented, hands-on training. Classes include detailed instruction and comprehensive course reference materials that students take back to their work place. Instructor demonstrations and a step-by-step technique provide an understanding of the DOT collection requirements with an emphasis on ensuring the integrity of the collection process.

No prerequisite required.
Also certifies students as Professional Urine Specimen Collectors.

This one-day class prepares Collector Instructors to train and certify their staff on the DOT collection procedures. Each Collector Instructor student performs the required five mock collections that the DOT regulations require to be certified as a Collector. Successful completion of the five mock collections is required of Collector Instructors who will, in turn, monitor other students as they perform their mock collections as a part of Collector Training.
Our Collector Instructor class includes the most comprehensive set of instructional materials of any Collector Instructor class we have seen. Instructors leave the class with all training materials necessary to teach others in their organization to be collectors and to document the training. Instructor materials include:
- Instructor Manual: Includes instructions for teaching each topic, instructions for using the DOT form, instructions for performing all practice mock collections, complete set of current DOT regulations.
- PowerPoint originals of training slides, available on disk or paper.
- Videotape or DVD of split specimens and problem collection situations.
- Written Exam and Answer Key.
- Mock Collection Performance Check Sheet.
